My 1980 Yamaha XS1100 Midnight Special

1980 Yamaha XS1100 Midnight Special

1980 Yamaha XS1100 Midnight Special

I was out of biking for about 15 years, and going through my closet I found my motorcycle helmet. I started to think, a bad thing to do, you know how it is. Anyway I found this Yamaha, with only 11,000 miles, all original,1 of only 250 especially built by master craftsman, near Appleton, Wisconsin. I purchased the bike over the phone, a one way ticket to Appleton, and drove it back over 800 miles to DC.

Mike's comment: Very cool, JD! Looks amazing for a 30-year-old bike. I sure didn't look that good at 30!
