Motorcycle Riding Schools: Finding the right school for you.

Motorcycle riding schools offer students a great way to improve their knowledge and confidence on a bike. There are some things to consider when looking at schools to make sure that you are selecting the right one.

For beginning riders the most effective course id the motorcycle safety foundation rider safety course. This is the best bang for the buck in terms of a riding school.

The course is a great program for many reasons. One of the best things is the quality of the instructors. The instructors are assigned to very small groups of students. They are also very experienced riders that are very proficient with the curriculum.

The curriculum is also a very helpful handbook. The information contained in it is a great resource to refer to after the course as well.

The course work is presented in a easy to understand manner and utilizes various audio/video components. The written exam at the conclusion of the course is quite passable if you carefully review the material.

The on-bike work is the best part of the course. MSF provides all the bikes that they use for instruction. Everyone gets their own bike which is in good condition and fully fueled.

The program lays out a course in a closed large paved parking lot so you don't have to worry about traffic of any kind. This is a great safe way to get hands on bike handling experience.

The course consists of various exercises utilizing cones and different situations that really give you a good understanding of how to handle a bike.

Another great benefit of this course is that their credentials are accepted at most states dept. of motor vehicles in lieu of the road test. This means that if you successfully pass the course than you only have to pass the written exam in the DMV office to get your motorcycle endorsement.

Hands down one of the best investments you can make when you get a bike.
