Enclosed Motorcycle Trailers:
What's the right one for you?

Enclosed motorcycle trailers come in a wide range of sizes and capacities. Having so many choices is great, but which is the right one for you?

One of the first things to think about is how much towing capacity your tow rig has. We would all like to be able to tow a multi-deck condo on wheels, but what is realistic?

The towing vehicle that you have should be able to easily tow your enclosed trailer (fully loaded} without struggling. It is no fun to be worried at every mile that your tow rig is going to overheat or blow the transmission.

The size and shape of your trailer should also be considered. The number of bikes that you are going to trailer dictates the width, but the height and length are also something to consider.

Most folks want to be able to walk into their trailers without smashing heir heads. With this in mind, you will probably want to go with a minimum six-foot inside height.

In terms of length, you have to consider how much space you want around your bikes. It doesn't matter if you're packing two bikes, or four, or six, the length of the trailer should easily accommodate the bikes (with loading room) plus any tools and gear you might need.

The quality of the trailer is also important. It is not worth buying a cheap trailer that doesn't have the load capacity or features that you need. On a long trip a breakdown really sucks.
