Here are some tips on what to look for in an ATV stereo.

ATV stereo systems provide a great way to enjoy the outdoors. A stereo can really enhance the afternoon get-together with some great tunes.

If you are ready to buy, then this site has several good options for an ATV stereo.

Tips to Consider Before You Buy

One of the first things to think about is the stereo system's durability.

The mounting hardware and durability of the unit is critical. The best way to look at your ATV sound needs is to look at the average tough day on your ATV.

The choice of systems is somewhat limited. There are options for dash-mounted as well as overhead sound systems that will provide quality sound at a reasonable price. The choice is really yours, depending on your preference.

With the dash mounted systems, water is a consideration. Most of the dash-mounted systems come with separate waterproofing components, but definitely check into that if you decide to go with a dash-mounted stereo system. The speakers on both types of systems are typically marine-grade, which means that they're built to withstand wet conditions.

With the overhead systems, they typically mount to the rollcage of the ATV.

If you have an iPod or MP3 player, we found an ATV sound system that will accommodate it. But this is more expensive than a "regular" stereo system, which you can find here.

The ease of installation is another consideration, so be sure to look at the "fine print" of installation before you buy.

Lastly, be sure to look at how much amperage the system draws, and be sure that it's compatible with your ATV.
